Risk Assessment

In order to accurately evaluate whether your water services pose a potential risk from Legionellosis the Health and Safety Executive recommend that a regular assessment is carried out.

This risk assessment surveys the whole water system to identify and assess any possible sources of infection. It also indentifies those measures that may be employed to eliminate the risk of exposure to the Legionella bacteria.

If it is not reasonably practicable to eliminate the risk then the assessment will identify the measures by which the risk can be controlled.

The findings of the assessment will go in part to producing a written scheme, this management plan specifies the particular measures employed to control the risk of exposure.

The risk assessment should be reviewed at least every 2 years or sooner if there is reason to believe that it is no longer accurate i.e. after any major modifications to the system.

Cleartech Water Services can arrange Legionella Risk Assessments for every size and type of domestic system by qualified and experienced and independent assessors.
